We are now in Alpine, Utah, a beautiful town nestled in the valley of the Wasatch Mountains. It is beautiful here, the mountains and trees and the changing fall colors. The kids have started school here at Alpine Elementary, a great school just a half mile away through a field across the street. They walk or ride their bikes or scooters to school everyday. Greta is in Kindergarten now so she is happy to be grouped with Olive and Ingrid. Alpine is known for their great art programs. It reminds us a bit of Hallinan, their Elementary schoool in Lake Oswego.
We have been here for more than a month and the kids have made friends with all of the neighbrhood girls. Our house is where the neidhborhood kids meet to double dutch. They miss their friends in Oregon and would like to move back "after a few years".
This summer we stayed with Rob's parents in Sandy, Utah and took a nice long vacation to Battle Lake, Minnesota with Rob's family and then to Stanley, Idaho with Wendy's family. We waterskiied and piciniced and had a great time visiting with each other.
Ingrid was recently baptized and confirmed a member of the Church and she wants to do it again. She liked having family here to celebrate her special day.
Our home in Oregon is for sale and we are living in Mark and Jean's home in Alpine. We are thankful to have a place to live while we wait for our home to sell. We are trying to get used to the dry air.
